Working on My Bucket List

Above is a picture of me in Grand Manan Novia Scotia touring a fish factory

This is a pretty personal post, ignore it if you wish, I won’t mind! I would like to hear your comments about this kind of post.

Well when it rains it pours, I have 2 new illnesses this week. (Well not new, just actually diagnosed).  I have spent most of the week in doctor’s offices or having tests. I have had Hepatitis C for many years, now it has progressed to Cirrhosis.  Statistics show I will probably live another 5-10 yrs. (Hopefully most of it good.)  I  am also officially a diabetic, Yuk this really means I have to control my sweet intake (a very big weakness of mine).

My heart doctor says I am doing fine.  (I have 4 stents.)

Of course I need to loose weight (for the 100th time). Weight reduction will help my heart, liver and diabetes. Do you think I can do it?  I know one way that has been successful for me so far. Go to Africa. So I am off again for 4 weeks at the end of March.

My trips to Africa are also part of my Bucket list, which I am adding to every day. So far here it is.

  • Travel
  • Be a philanthropist (I am not rich enough, but will do my best)
  • Leave a legacy
  • Have fun
  • Pay attention to my spirituality
  • Spend time with friends and family I love (and only those I love)
  • Live my life as I have been only better!

Why am I telling you all this. I don’t know exactly. Here are some of my thoughts about that.

  • To get it out
  • To show you I try to live what I preach
  • Hopefully to inspire
  • To let you know me better
  • To make a blog post (:

For what its worth, I feel great, am psychologically fine, and look forward to continuing to do my best work.
